T-Park - Lower Silesian Technology Park
2011-03-18
As Poland fast becomes a centre of excellence for BPO, the Lower Silesian Technology Park has both ideal situation and supportive facilities.
The Lower Silesian Technology Park (Dolnolaski Technology Park) is a compact, environmentally friendly business park situated in the south-western corner of Poland, where Poland shares a border with both the Czech Republic and Germany. The region of Lower Silesia has a warm climate and is surrounded by a stunning mountainous landscape. Within this area of natural beauty, the Tpark thrives. Lower Silesia has a well developed, specialised, scientific resource base. The region has a 33% share in all Polish IT production and service, and therefore boasts a skilled population.
The region is particularly known for its strengths in the electromechanical industry: car factories are common to the area and, as a spin-off to this, many new production units have been set up within car manufacturing. The T-park is located in Wałbrzych, in the south-western part of Lower Silesia, which has a population of over 126,000 people.
The T-park building is a first class, state of the art building, offering over 6,000 sq m of office space located in three modules and over three storeys.
Support for investors
A favourable investment climate makes Lower Silesia one of the most attractive Polish regions in terms of economics and finance. Local governmental agencies promote foreign investment into the area, and the number of international corporations that are putting their research and development centres in Poland is on the rise. This year, some $100 million will be invested in R&D institutions within the country.
Consequently, there are more than 40 R&D centres in Poland and the number of specialists employed in Polish R&D centres is likely to double by the end of 2010. Poland is fast becoming a European centre for advanced business process off-shoring (BPO) services and call centre (front office) services.
The T-park is an attractive area for businesses and investment projects that are based on advanced technologies or scientific and laboratory work, and is within the Szczawno-Zdrój Economic Activation Zone.
This zone is known for its good communications infrastructure that connects it with both the regional and national road networks. There is also a tax exemption available to any company who builds a new manufacturing plant within the T-Park
